What was ‘Match of the Night’ at TakeOver: WarGames?

WWE Network

NXT has put a bow around its TakeOver: WarGames live event from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando. The black-and-gold brand wrapped up the show tonight (Sun., Dec. 6, 2020) with Undisputed ERA standing tall after a vicious fight with the impressive Pat McAfee and his talented trio of paid killers.

Was the main event the best match on the card?

The show opened with the women’s WarGames match, and lots of spots en route to Raquel González positioning herself as the next #1 contender with a pin of Io Shirai. Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa literally beat the crap out of each other, and Dexter Lumis picked up another win over Cameron Grimes in a strap match. Before the main, Johnny Gargano beat Leon Ruff & Damian Priest to became the first ever three-time North American champ – thanks to lots of help from Austin Theory and an army of Ghostfaces.
