We may someday learn more about Lana & Liv Morgan’s love affair

Bellieve it or not, we’re approaching the one year anniversary of the glorious trainwreck that was Raw’s Lana/Bobby Lashley wedding segment.

A lot has happened in the 50 weeks since Dec. 30, 2019. The kayfabe couple couple is split up already, but they’re doing well for themselves. Lashley is United States champion. Lana is teaming with Asuka this weekend to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag titles.

In an interview set-up to promote her TLC match with Nia Jax & Shayna Bazler, Sportskeeda asked the Ravishing One about another person involved in the wedding angle. No, not the guy she had tank sex with. The woman who said she and Lana shared a secret love affair – Liv Morgan.

That storyline was glossed over on television, but Liv and Lana played it up on social media, using pictures and videos of their real-life friendship as supporting evidence. It’s that basis in reality that’s behind Lana’s hope WWE will revisit the angle. She thinks there’s a chance it might happen.

She told Sportskeeda:

“I love Liv Morgan so much. I was excited to do what we did, because Liv Morgan is one of my best friends, and I have been close with her over the years. And really our bond for wrestling… We love WWE. We love wrestling so much. And, so you know, we have an incredible bond.

“I can see the story picking up any time, any day. You know? Like I think it’s a very, very compelling story and I would love to revisit it. So, that’s what I was told. That we’re going to revisit it at some point. So I’m looking forward to revisiting it at some point.”

Personally, I’m dubious. If WWE thought there was anything more than one night’s worth of pop in a PG rated lesbian angle, they’d have continued it. They seem to see bigger things in Lana’s future.

And in order to get there, they’d have to try and explain why Morgan moved on from it so quickly. Or not, I guess. They didn’t really explain much about how they got there in the first place.
