AEW plans tag action & a wedding announcement for Dynamite Holiday Bash
Dynamite will be delayed on Dec. 23 due to coverage of the new NBA season on TNT. But they’re giving fans a reason to stick around until approximately 10 p.m. Eastern with the first of three themed episodes.
As they usually do, they laid out a lot of what we can expect on next Wednesday’s New Year’s Smash during tonight’s show:
– The Young Bucks will defend their Tag titles against the upstart tandem that goes by The Acclaimed. Max Caster & Anthony Bowens picked up their seventh straight win when they beat SCU this week, and called out Matt & Nick Jackson, who were watching from ringside.
– We’ll also get another young team, Top Flight, in action against Chris Jericho & MJF. This was set-up by Inner Circle’s win in tonight’s six-man tag.
– Jurassic Express will face Dark Order in a trios match. FTR will be watching, because the former champs aren’t happy Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy have been getting so much of the spotlight lately.
– Death Triangle’s war with Eddie Kingston’s Family continues when PAC goes one-on-one with The Butcher.
– AEW Women’s champ will have a warm-up match as she gets ready to defend against Abadon.
– Dustin Rhodes will try to make it clear to Evil Uno he’s not joining Dark Order when they meet in singles competition.
– And last but not least, we’ll learn the date of Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford’s wedding!
What a way to spend the night before Christmas Eve, right?
