Seth Rollins returns to WWE on SmackDown next week
The last time we saw Seth Rollins he was “sacrificing” himself at Survivor Series, willingly taking a Brogue Kick from Sheamus to be the first man eliminated from the match. He disappeared after that, going completely dark on social media in addition to his absence from television.
His only post was to bring word of the birth of his first child with Becky Lynch:

His paternity leave is up, it seems, as WWE has announced he will make his return to Friday Night SmackDown next week for the New Year’s Day show:

Rollins spent 2020 crafting his “Messiah” character on Monday Night Raw, where he briefly commanded a stable and had a run at the WWE championship before spending months embroiled in a blood feud with the entire Mysterio family. Even when he was drafted to the blue brand, the Mysterio family, not to mention Murphy, came with and they continued it there.
By the time Survivor Series rolled around, it was clearly time to move on. His child couldn’t have come at a better time.
Now, he’s back to start anew. We’ll see what that looks like come next week.
