WWE turns to Triple H to kickoff a rewritten-for-COVID Raw
The main event of the Jan. 11 Raw has been scrambled due to Drew McIntyre testing positive for COVID. At least that’s the only change we know of. WWE didn’t announce much in advance, but if reports of an outbreak, they could be re-working some of their internal plans, too.
One thing they’re doing is turning to one of their in-house Hall of Famers to start off the broadcast.
Are you ready?@TripleH returns to the red brand TONIGHT to kick off #WWERaw!

It’s not the first time Triple H’s been enlisted on short notice to man a show in the pandemic. He was tabbed for a similar role on the first SmackDown of the Performance Center era. We were told he put so many smiles on so many faces during the opening segment back on Mar. 13, 2020, he just had to stick around to provide commentary throughout the entire broadcast.
What will The Game get up to on a show that’s destined to get crushed in the ratings by the college football championship game between Ohio State & Alabama?
Join us in our live blog and we can find out together. Whatever Haitch does, it’ll share time with Drew McIntyre speaking to us via satellite from quarantine. And allegedly Randy Orton vs. somebody.
