NXT’s kayfabe injury diagnosers are not ready for the main roster

WWE.com

There aren’t any surprises on the Injury Report coming out of the Jan. 20 edition of NXT.

We already knew that Karrion Kross took out two guys who were supposed to compete in a first round match of the Dusty Classic tonight (Jan. 22). And that two guys who beat the hell out of each other in the FIGHT PIT would be replacing them. If I told you there were four names in Matt Camp’s video, I bet 99% of NXT fans would only need four tries to guess them all.

Okay, that’s fine. Every week can’t have a combo knee dislocation & ankle break or broken trophy. We understand that diabolical Chinese torture cults don’t grow on trees.

What’s disappointing is how little effort went into these descriptions! “Arm injury”?!?! Where’s our “bilateral upper extremity weakness”!?!?

Camp and company better step up their game if they ever hope to be producing the Raw or SmackDown Injury Report.

Anyway, here’s this week’s video, and the full list of what it covers:

  • Desmond Troy: strained wind pipe; not medically cleared
  • Ashante “Thee” Adonis: internal injuries & a neck stinger; not medically cleared – no timetable for return
  • Timothy Thatcher: arm injury; medically cleared as tolerated
  • Tommaso Ciampa: leg injury; x-rays negative, medically cleared as tolerated
