Tegan Nox’s recovery is ahead of schedule

The NXT Superstar is rehabbing after her third knee surgery in four years.

How about some good news? This is of the shiny variety.

Tegan Nox is currently recovering from knee surgery to repair a torn ACL she suffered in September of last year. The injury was particularly heartbreaking, as it was her third since 2017 when she had to pull out of the first Mae Young Classic with an ACL tear; she injured her knee in the 2018 tournament as well. It also sucks because the 26 year old is a very talented wrestler, and by all accounts a good person.

The Girl With The Shiniest Wizard was a guest on The Bump this morning (Weds., Jan. 27), and provided an update on her rehabilitation:

“I feel good. I feel strong, which is nice – nice little change from being on crutches a few weeks ago, you know? But I feel good, I feel really good… Recovery’s going really very well. I’m way ahead of where I should be, which is good. I think it’s helped that I’ve gone through this three times now…”

It wasn’t specifically stated that this is a comeback to the ring, but it was implied since hosts Kayla Braxton, Matt Camp and Evan Mack asked about the woman who injured her in-story, Candice LeRae.

She’s missed about a year after each of her previous knee surgeries. Perhaps ahead of schedule means summer instead of fall? Whenever the medical folks think it’s safe is okay by us.

We won’t have to wait that long for more Tegan content, though. She also revealed on The Bump that she recently did an online workout with Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson that’ll appear online from WWE somewhere soon. The Marvel hero’s been an inspiration for Nox since her last comeback (note all the Carol Danvers merch in the office she filmed this interview in), so it should be fun to see her geek out while rehabbing.

Shinier further faster, baby.
