Reigns beats McIntyre in a classic
In just two episodes of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and Universal Champion Roman Reigns made their clash at tonight’s (Sun., Nov. 22, 2020) Survivor Series pay-per-view at the ThunderDome at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, a legitimately compelling matchup.
It felt like a prize fight, between two of the very best at the top of their game getting a chance to square off against each other to see who is better. Considering the way WWE usually books these shows, that was a serious accomplishment of its own.
Then, the match.
When I say they were throwing haymakers at each other, and getting back up to throw some more, and then definitely being done but actually managing to get back up to throw some more… My god, what a match this was.
In the end, McIntyre kind of got screwed by Jey Uso interference after the referee took a bump following a Claymore Kick. He ate a superkick and Reigns finished him off with a guillotine choke.
He didn’t submit. He passed out.
A finish befitting the status of the two stars in the match. What a ride that was.
