Miro is finally a main event star in AEW

The main event of tonight’s (Dec. 9) episode of Dynamite featured MJF defending his diamond ring against Orange Cassidy.

Earlier in the night, Chris Jericho got the Inner Circle all on the same page, but Sammy Guevara made it clear that’s he’s quitting from the group if anything else goes wrong between him and MJF. Would that situation come into play during MJF’s main event match against Cassidy?

The Inner Circle has way too many members, so this bout morphed into an unofficial Lumberjack match, allowing some babyfaces to keep the heels at bay.

MJF was especially annoyed with Cassidy’s lazy tactics like putting his hands in his pockets, so he targeted OC’s hand throughout the match. That didn’t stop Freshly Squeezed from mounting a late comeback with two Orange Punches, and it looked like the diamond ring was changing hands. But the referee was distracted by all the brawling wrestlers outside the ring. That opened the door for Miro to show up and attack Cassidy. MJF took advantage for the win.

Miro was unhinged after the match, throwing a guy off the stage and generally looking like someone who was out of control.

Dynamite went off the air with Miro mocking Orange Cassidy and standing tall.

Tony Khan recently discussed Miro’s potential as a main event star in AEW, and this is the first time that Miro has made an impact in the main event segment.

Are you cool with that?
