AEW counters NXT with Snoop Dogg and New Year’s Smash

AEW on Twitter

According to the Young Bucks, AEW isn’t concerned with counterprogramming NXT. It would screw up their brains if All Elite Wrestling went down that rabbit hole.

That’s why I’m sure it’s a complete coincidence that Tony Khan’s promotion just announced New Year’s Smash, a special theme for the two Dynamite episodes that will take place on Dec. 30 and Jan. 6. This happens to coincide with NXT’s New Year’s Evil on Jan. 6, 2021.

Further hype was provided in the form of announcing that Snoop Dogg will be on hand for night two on Jan. 6.

AEW also confirmed that the scheduled time for the Dec. 23 episode of Dynamite will be affected by the NBA.

With this announcement in mind, how long do you think it will be until NXT extends its New Year’s Evil theme to also include the Dec. 30 episode of NXT?
