This time Sting’s the one who is saved when the lights go out
Ever since he made his AEW debut earlier this month, Sting has made a habit of putting the lights out when a babyface is in peril, and emerging to save the day.
That happened once again on this week’s (Dec. 23) “Holiday Bash” episode of Dynamite, but the roles were reversed. Team Taz interrupted Tony Schiavone’s interview with The Icon and said they had enough of the legend sticking his nose in their business. These weren’t just empty threats; Taz ordered his boys to go to the ring and attack Sting on the spot.
Sting was the babyface in peril this time, but then the lights went out, and Darby Allin saved his bacon.
The war of words raged on between #TeamTaz, @Sting & your TNT Champion @DarbyAllin.

Allin’s presence was enough to force Taz to reconsider his strategy and call back his troops. They’ll regroup and instead focus on taking Darby Allin’s TNT championship on night two (Jan. 6) of AEW’s New Year’s Smash, with Brian Cage as his challenger.
Will Sting show up and help make the difference in that championship match?
