Women’s Tag Team Title match has been added to the Royal Rumble

On tonight’s RAW, it was announced that Asuka and Charlotte Flair will defend their Women’s Tag Team Championships against the team they defeated for them – Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler. Flair also commented on the match prior to heading to the ring to face Baszler as the first match of the night.

Flair and Asuka have held the tag titles since Flair’s return at the TLC pay-per-view in December. Baszler and Jax held the titles for 112-days and if they win back the gold then they will be the third team to win the titles twice. This would follow Nikki Cross & Alexa Bliss and Bayley & Sasha Banks.

Flair, Jax, and Baszler are also scheduled to participate in the fourth annual 30-woman Royal Rumble match. There have been 12-women announced so far for that match at the time of this writing.
